Court cost is $44 per hour peak* | $40 for hour off peak
Coach cost is $60-$70/hr for 1 player plus $10 for each additional player
The $10 guest fee applies for non-members
Steps to book a lesson:
Go to Book in the app or on the website
Filter on “Coach” to preview availability (select a preferred coach or view all)
Select a day/time slot that has a coach available (an hour is recommended)
Book the lesson for just you or invite friends to join
*Peak time is Monday - Friday 9am to 12pm and 6pm to 9pm and Saturday - Sunday 8am to 5pm
Our Coaches
Johan du Randt
Hailing from Pearston, South Africa, Johan is a former tennis pro on the ATP Tour and six-time National Champion in platform tennis. Look out pickleball! He currently holds the highest DUPR rating in the Boston area. For the past 20 years he has been a teaching pro and most recently was Director of Racquet Sports at The Country Club in Brookline.
Stephen Mitchell
Born in South Africa, Stephen is a three-time National Champion in platform tennis and currently ranked number 1 in the country. Successfully pivoting to pickleball, he and Johan have competed in tournaments throughout the county, garnering a national following. Stephen has been a racquets professional for 18 years, teaching pickleball, tennis and platform tennis to players of all ages and abilities. Most recently Stephen was the Director of Racquets at The Braeburn Country Club in Newton.
Whitney Hallagan
Whitney has been a racquets enthusiast her whole life. In addition to playing collegiate tennis and Division 1 squash for Williams College, she spent many summers on Cape Cod teaching tennis to both kids and adults. She spent two summers as the head pro at a private club in Falmouth running a large and busy junior program. Most recently, Whitney taught both tennis and pickleball at the Kingsbury Club in Medfield, MA, where she also plays and co-captains the D1 tennis team.
When she's not busy being a mom, Whitney is passionate about sharing her love for racquet sports with others.
Sam Kim
Sam is an IPTPA certified pickleball pro instructor and has been teaching pickleball for 3 years to all ages and skill levels. In the beginning, he played tennis and eventually taught tennis for a few years. Sam transferred to pickleball 4 years ago and has medaled in many tournaments in the Northeast. As an avid young pickleball athlete, he has also played pro tournaments all around the country. According to DUPR rating, he is one of the top pickleball players in New England. For the past two years, he has been a pickleball teaching pro at Bloomfield Tennis Club.
Linda Ingram
Linda is a passionate pickleball player turned instructor and is a PPR Certified Coach. Linda is committed to fostering a fun and supportive learning environment where everyone can excel and enjoy the game of pickleball to the fullest. With a love for pickleball, she hopes to share her knowledge and foster a sense of community and camaraderie among the Boston Pickle Club members.
Linda is a native New Englander with 3 grown kids and a dog named Nike. She also enjoys running, skiing and hiking as well as traveling.
Jim Bove
Jim was born in Brooklyn NY and grew up playing handball, paddleball and outdoor racquetball in parks throughout NYC. He was the racquetball club pro for 22 years at the Ridge Athletic Club in Braintree MA.
Jim is the MA state director for World Outdoor Racquetball (W.O.R.) and runs events throughout MA and ME.
Jim transitioned to pickleball in 2017. He is a certified pickleball instructor with the (P.P.R.) Professional Pickleball Registry Instructor.
